 North Coaching Staff

North Head Coach: Greg FreyOhio State '91
  

Greg Frey, a graduate of St. Xavier in Cincinnati, will guide the North Team for the second consecutive year.  A three-year starter and Captain at quarterback for Ohio State from 1988-1990, he is best remembered for leading the Buckeyes to two remarkable come-from-behind wins.  On September 24, 1998, he rallied OSU from a 33-20 deficit in the final four minutes to a 36-33 victory over the 9th ranked LSU Tigers.  On October 28, 1989, the Buckeyes wre trailing 31-0 to Minnesota.  Frey brought the Buckeyes back for a thrilling 41-37 win while passing for 362 yards.  He still ranks 4th in all-time passing yards as a Buckeye.

Frey is the founder of QB Ohio and brings 10+ years of quarterback training, as well as five years of high school coaching, and 17 years as a color analysis from the broadcast booth for Fox Sports, Sports Time Ohio and ONN.  His quarterback’s have excelled at every level, including high school, college, and pro. Thus far, his most famous student is Heisman Trophy finalist Brady Quinn, who currently plays for the Denver Broncos of the NFL.

Greg, who owns a successful business in real estate and Advocare, resides in Columbus with his wife Jen and son Jackson.

South Coaching Staff

South Head Coach:  Matt D'Orazio

Matt D'Orazio, a graduate of St. Francis DeSales in Columbus, begins his second-year coaching the South Team after a stellar college and professional playing career.  A 1997 graduate of Otterbein University, he set the single-season and career records for passing yards, touchdown passes and total offense for the Cardinals.  While at Otterbein, he passes for 8,770 yards and 73  touchdowns while rushing for 594 yards during his career.

At the professional ranks, he made his debute in 1998 with the New Jersey Red Dogs prior to joining the Arena Football League (AFL).  He played for numerous teams including the Columbus Destroyers, Chicago Rush and the Philadelphia Soul.  He was named the MVP of ArenaBowl XX (Chicago Rush) and ArenaBowl XXII (Philadelphia Soul) while beging named 2008 AFL MVP.  He is one of only two players to be named MVP of the ArenaBowl while playing for two difference teams.   In 2009, he signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.

Matt is employed by Medtronic and resides in Columbus with his wife Nicole and their children Maria (3) and Miles (2).
