OCF Games of the Week - Week of November 13

Sunday, November 7th 2010 @ 9:52 PM    post viewed 371 times

The MAC West title is on the line as Toledo and Northern Illinois will clash on Tuesday night on ESPN while Ohio State entertains the always dangerous Penn State and Joe Paterno’s 400 career victories at the Shoe.

Lake Erie, winners of three straight, will face a streaking Ashland team trying to keep their playoff hopes alive.  While their NAIA playoff chances are a long shot, Walsh has a chance to tarnish another playoff hopeful, as the Cavaliers travel to No. 12 Marian for an MSFA conference game.

Our OCF Division III tilt features undefeated Wittenberg at Wooster.

The OCF Buckeye State rankings have now been released.  Just a couple of weeks left in the regular season and the final rankings are starting to take shape.

With Urbana’s 40-12 win over Central State, the Blue Knights moved into the OCF Top 5 in the FCS/II/NAIA Division after Ohio Dominican fell to Ashland, 44-15.

OCF No. 1 Mount Union rolls to 9-0 on the year after defeating OCF No. 4 Baldwin-Wallace, 41-3.  Despite Case Western’s 14-13 loss to Washington University and their second defeat in as many games, the Spartans’ remain in the OCF Top 5 in the NCAA III Division.  However, their post-season hopes are all but gone.
