Falcons Announce Football Schedule for 2010

Three national television appearances, five home games and a date with a member of the Big Ten highlight the Bowling Green State University football team’s 2010 schedule. The Mid-American Conference office released the league schedule this afternoon (Mar. 1).

 
The Falcons’ five home games include the home opener with Marshall set for Sept. 18. Other home games inside Doyt Perry Stadium include Buffalo (Oct. 2), Kent State (Oct. 23), Miami (Nov. 10) and Western Michigan (Nov. 26).
 
The contest with the Bulls has been tabbed as homecoming, while the game with Kent State will be Parents’ Weekend.
 
BGSU will open the season on Sept. 4 at Troy. Other road contests include at Tulsa (Sept. 11), Michigan (Sept. 25), Ohio (Oct. 9), Temple (Oct. 16), Central Michigan (Oct. 30) and Toledo (Nov. 17). The Nov. 17 contest at Toledo will be the first time the two teams have not faced-off in the regular season finale since the 1999 season. That year the two squads played on Oct. 2.

Wed., Nov. 10 – vs. Miami, 8 p.m. (ESPN2)
Wed., Nov. 17 – at Toledo, 6/8 p.m. (ESPN2/ESPNU) *
Fri., Nov. 26 – vs. Western Michigan (ESPNU/ESPN360.com) *
 
Remaining kickoff times will be announced as the season draws closer.
