OhioCollegeFootball.com Announces Pre-Season HCAC Poll

The 2010 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outlook…

Does Mount St. Joseph have enough to make a serious post season run?  The Lions welcome back quarterback Craig Mustard and HCAC Defensive Player of the Year linebacker Erik Prosser…Franklin and Rose-Hulman both bring back a wealth of experience, however, Rose-Hulman will need to figure out how to replace HCAC Offensive Player of the Year – quarterback Derek Eitel…The team to keep an eye on in 2010 will be the Defiance Yellow Jackets.  Defense wins championships and DC returns standout defensive backs Kyle Longsdorf and Tony Sierra… Manchester and Hanover both made some big strides in 2009 and they could make some noise this fall…Anderson is one of those programs - either their up or their down…Earlham makes the move from the NCAC and will find the grass isn’t that much greener….Bluffton certainly has no place to go but up and this could be one of those years were the Beavers could play the spoilers as that program continues to get better.

The 2010 University Athletic Association Outlook…

Case Western is going to have to figure out a way to replace All-American quarterback Dan Whalen but all is not lost in Cleveland for a repeat…Chicago has the weapons to play the spoilers as senior quarterback Marshall Oium returns after tossing 21 touchdowns in 2009…Carnegie Mellon returns the conference’s top rushing offense led by senior running back Justin Pratt…Don’t count Washington out of the running as they welcome back AUU’s top rusher in 2009 – Jim O’Brien and the conference leader in interceptions – Brandon Brown.

OhioCollegeFootball.com 2010 Outlook on the MSFA…

St. Xavier, 2009 MSFA Champions, returns one of the countries best quarterbacks - Anthony Kropp…Perennial power St. Francis seeks redemption with a lot of experience and a solid recruiting class…Walsh welcomes back one of the nations top running backs – Clinton Blossomgame, which could vault the Cavaliers to the top…Marian’s time is now if they want to compete in the MSFA – they're loaded with talent and experience…Taylor was the surprise of the conference last year and could make some noise early on…Malone will have to regroup with a new coach and system as they try and improve on a 4-6 record in 2009.
