So what are some of the biggest disappointments so far this season?
Mine are: OSU getting crushed by USC. Of course now since USC was beaten last night...does that open the door again for OSU? Fool me once shame on you...Fool me twice or in this case three times shame on me. I don't think so.
Wasn't Ashland suppose to be dominating this year? The world according to Lee Owens - had the Eagles winning it all.
How about Walsh and Urbana both are 1-2. They were suppose to be good this year. Welcome to NCAA II Urbana.

That is easy for me, OU's schedule. As I mentioned in a previous post this was the worst possible schedule I could think of . 3 of the first 4 and 6 of the first 8 games of the year on the road. No home games from the end of september till the end of october. Opening at wyoming, then ohio state, the fourth game at northwestern, the sixth at western michigan. Oh and who do they get week 3 at home, Central Michigan. It didn't take a rocket scientist to look at this schedule and see what was going to happen. To the bobcats credit they gave a good account of themselves in the first 4, but you can still only lose so much before it starts to wear on you. I just hope we can beat Miami at the end of the year.

David - Good to see you back in the forum. I agree with you about OU. I think sometimes these MAC teams in particular are more concern about getting their big time checks for playing a team like Ohio State then they are trying to secure a winning season. Don't get me wrong I know these midmajor programs sell their recruits on the fact that they will play Big Ten teams, etc. But when is it too much? And who does the scheduling? You are right - they are really behind the 8-ball. That is too bad.

Ben Mauk losing his fight for another year of eligibility was a pretty big disappointment for me. |
