Well I went too two games this week that showed both the best and worst of the mac. Unfortunately the worst was my favorite, the ou bobcats. That is the worst coached, most undisiplined team I have ever seen. The special teams were bad last year but at least they had a good place kicker to bail them out. This year they still can't cover kickoffs, they don't have a decent kicker, and now they can't even snap the ball or be able to hold the ball for a kick. Two botched field goals and two missed exstra points against buffalo(one returned for 2 points). You would think that Solich would have been able to correct the problems with a new coach, it is difficult to be worse then last year but they are. 5 turnovers , numerous stupid penalties, it all adds up to a team that has quit on the season. Solich has to go, for a team to be so unprepared is unexcussable. It is not that the bobcats lost, they were the underdog afterall, it is the way they lost. I'll go to Otterbein this week thank you and I won't reknew my season tickets next year. Now the best, I went to the CMU-Indiana game yesterday and it was a very exciting game. CMU came through for the MAC and played very well on offense to say the least with a backup quarterback. True the game plan on defense for Indiana was poor(same as ohio against cmu, play soft coverage) but still cmu played a game to make the mac proud. If only Ohio could show a portion of the heart and ability of CMU on the field instead of the discrace that I watched Tuesday night.Memorial Stadium in Bloomington will be a showpice when the new construction is done. I will have to go back next year. Sorry for talking about a non ohio game. Oh one last thing on Ohio. It is said a well coached team gets better as the season goes on, this team has gotten worse, enough said about Solich, he must want out.
