Youngstown State: Assistant Coach, Football (.75 FTE),DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics. SALARY RANGE: Z2. INITIAL SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience. MINIMUM UALIFICATIONS:. achelor’s degree required; Minimum one year experience of collegiate football videography coordination with working knowledge of linear and digital technologies and proficiency in computer use required. Non-traditional work hours and travel required. SUMMARY OF POSITION DESCRIPTION: Edits videotapes of practices and games in order to formulate cut-ups, load video footage to software programs, and break down opposing team films; organize video footage to assist in analyzing team strengths and weaknesses in order to develop team strategies; duplicates videotapes as needed for scouting, recruiting, and general purposes (i.e. highlight films); coordination of video exchange; assesses video equipment needs for department and makes recommendations for new or replacement equipment; plans and prepares for video technology advancements and equipment purchases to meet dynamic technology evolution; responsible for video repairs as necessary; convert video and editing system from linear to digital. Implements coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athlete’s athletic skills and analyze performance of student-athletes. Assists in planning and coordination of special events (i.e. game officials, NFL video, banquets, etc.); assist with coordination of team travel, game day operations, practice security, and field set-up. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Meet all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions. Abide by rules and regulations of NCAA, conference, and university. Actively participates in public relations appearances and community services activities on behalf of the Department. Comply with all NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures. Performs any and all other related duties as assigned or directed in order to promote, further, and ensure the effective and efficient operation of YSU. Travel with teams as required.
