Well I saw something saturday night I haven't seen since I started attending ohio games in 06, a soldout game. Great for the school. I do have a complaint for dear old ou though. I joined the bobcat club and received a parking pass that I was told guarenteed me a parking spot in lot 4 accoss the street from the stadium. It didn't, OU will hear about it too.

Now for the game. Ohio coaching comes into question big time.Frank needs to get with the new millinium. His calls on both 3rd and then 4th and inches against a line that was much bigger and they couldn't run against were terrible, both straight up the middle and both had no chance. Second the team wasted a lot of time in huddles they could have use late in the game, still undisiplined team. 50 seconds alone was wasted on two plays when it took about 25 seconds each time for ohio to decide too call a timeout. Third the decision to start Scott was bad, he played so bad in the first three series he was benched. Team played much better with Jackson playing and he should start, he is a much better passer which ohio needed last night.True Scott played better when he came back in when jackson was hurt (even throwing a td pass) but his decision making is bad as the intercepted pitch at the uconn 5 illustrates. Still with all that the bobcats gave uconn a tough game and were in it too the end. The defense other then one busted coverage played well and caused 4 turnovers, could still use more pressure on quarterback but I thought they still played quite well. Something I certainly wasn't expecting out of that unit. Punting was quit good last night as shulte had a very good game. I belive that if the defense can keep up the good play , jackson starts, and the coaching can come around the bobcats can have a very good season and you never know in the mac, anything can happen. We will see this week, they play a north texas team who look a lot tougher then I thought they would be. Sure Ball State is down and has a new coaching staff but I still wasn't expecting the texas victory at Muncie. With better playcalling and fewer mistakes(too many drive killing penelties)ohio could have won and played a bcs team tough, I think ohio will be fine this year. That is something I wont say for whoever's ear hears my rant about parking on saturday night though.
