That was a tough one to watch. Terrelle Pryor just didn't seem comfortable all day. I have a feeling the OSU faithful and media aren't going to be so kind to the Buckeye's this week. Tough day in Columbus. |

At the spring game and pre season practice, you could see the difference in Terrell, he was cocky and knew he was the starter. His passes were awlful, his drop back footwork was even worse. He had more than one duck flying in the air. Terrell strength is his legs not his arm. Purdue picked up on what Wisconsin did good against him. You force him to pass, he tries to scramble and he holds the ball so loosely and the defense goes for the ball every time. He is very fast but the pressure of a d1 QB is tremendous. School, football and just life. Purdue did not look good, but OSU looked even worse. Coach Tressel needs to look on the bench, maybe Terrell's calling is not at QB but at wide receiver another Ted Ginn, and there is another QB on the bench, that looks like is being redshirted #13. At pre season practice had a bullet and is eager and can run. Or #14 with the arm and maturity. More playing time for either one and move Pryor to receiver. It's about team not about just one player......... |

TIMELINE - I think you hit the nail on the head. There is a lot of pressure to be a DI QB - even more pressure at OSU. You would expect a player to make big improvements from year one to year two but I am just not seeing them. I think Pryor would make more $$ in the NFL being a wide receiver...6-6, 230 and runs 4.4 - that is a no brainer. |
