Went to two games last two weeks. Michigan and Pudue last week and BG and Miami thursday night. Well it isn't hard to see why miami has only won one game this year, they are really bad. The only question I have with them is how did they manage to beat toledo no matter how bad toledo is. That osu win against the rockets looks weeker all the time. Michigan has a good offense with a future heisman trophy winner but that defense is terrible. Folks up there are ready to shoot richrod and with good reason. That style of play might work in southern climates but up north you better have some guys who are big and can bang. You can see them wear out. Two walkons one at safety and one at linebacker that start tell you all you need to know. I will say this for michigan though. We went to the miami-michigan hockey game afterwards and those are the craziest fans I have ever seen. Too bad osu doen't have a similar setup for their students, would make atmosphere at basketball games anyway a lot better. Yost Ice Areana, hmmm what to say. Historic, legendary. Usyally when those words are used about a venue it means one thing, it is a dump, and it is. Still the best atmosphere there is in college sports. Good to see my bobcats pull it out tuesday night. Exciting game and the cats finally put together some offense. Tuesday night ou party at winking lizard was fun also. Thanks to all ohio alumni who made me feel welcome. Hopefully winning ways can continue at home against northern illinois next week. NIU is a strange team, lost to toldeo but beat purdue. We all remember who purdue beat this year don't we? Oh anyone looking for something exciting friday night osu wrestles lehigh. Lehigh always come strong in wrestling and osu just bareley lost out on national title last year so it should be a good one.

Dave

Sorry I missed you at the BGSU vs. Miami of Ohio. Miami has a great facility and the Campus is amazing. I would have loved to see that place packed but thursday night with two teams that need alot of improvements makes for a small following. The Cheerleaders were cheering to the band and I saw two guys leave wearing Miami construction hats and they were trying to cove rup the "M". Over all a great night weather wise for football and BGSU and Miami have some off season work to do.

Friday night was WVU and UC, in Cincinnati. I think that Dave and I go to more games than anyone else I know. As for the UC game, the atmostphere was electric. 35,105 people in that stadium. The Fans were crazy the entire night. The Shy Divers that came into the stadium before kick off made the place turn up a notch. For those who have never been to Nippert Stadium, this is a MUST see stadium. Nippert is the second oldest stadium in the country. The Tail Gating was great the people were hospitable and the it was a beautiful night for football. THe Bearcats play fast and hit hard they are a tough group of kids that will run through a burning building for Coach Kelly.

Then there was Saturday. Iowa vs. Ohio State. Big Ten Championship on the line an all inclusive trip to the city of Roses- Pasadena CA.  I was at the 2006 Michigan Ohio State 42-39 game, and this game had that kind of energy in the stadium. The Shoe was rocking and the "Buckeye Bounce" was going on all game. Senior Day, Big Ten Championship on the line that is what the Buckeyes play for each year. The sweatervest was in full bloom in the south stands as many students were wearing the coach Tressel atire.   The game day atmostphere is like no other here in the Buckeye State.

Richrod and the Wolverins better be ready for Tressel and the Sweatervest Express because OSU wants the Big Ten Title outright and those Seniors really like GOLD PANTS.

Cincinnati will be int he Orange Bowl. Ohio State in the Rose Bowl and if all goes well Ohio Universty will be in the Little Ceasers Pizza Bowl (formally the Motor City Bowl) in Detroit on the 26th of December. And lets not forget that on December 19th in Salem VA, we are hoping that an Ohio team can take over Salem for Another Stagg Bowl Victory.

Those of you out there get to a game there is alot of great football left to play.

All in all I think

Wow, you saw some great games. Those games friday and saturday were something. Too bad we couldn't get together at miami. I was wearing a mt. union shirt and hat and sitting in section 7 , miami side of the field at the northern 15 yard line. Was afraid to wear ou gear at miami. Just kidding, despite the rivalry I find the miami folks are very nice( they jumped my car battery for me one year after the ohio game). I agree Miami is an awsome campus, my favorite of big schools and third behind denison and muskingum. I used to put ou fourth but I have to put michigan and kenyon a little bit above ou now. Never really had a good chance to look around either ann arbour or gambier before last week but those places are great. If you are ever in ann arbour for the game, park downtown and enjoy the town afterwards and don't forget to take a walk around campus, it is very enjoyable. I remember Nippert fondly from my youth. My dad took me to see the bengals play the bills their in 1968. Wonderfull time and the bengals won which being their first year they didn't do much that year. Before the michigan-purdue game we talked about comming to detroit for the bowl game if ohio played michigan. Doesn't look like that contest will happen now. Ohio needs to be NIU this week to get in a bowl. If they lose the next two if might be tough.

david

P.S. I have been to 18 games this year. 4 at ohio, 2 at michigan, one each at bowling green akron and miami in d1 schools. Also one at Ashland and one at ODU in d2. Malone in naia. 3 at denison, 1 at capital, 1 at kenyon and 1 at muskingum in d3. Have northen illinois and temple planned at ohio with at least one d3 tournament game. Not sure where yet. If Case has a home game on the 28th it will be there, never been their and would love to visit.
