Rumors are swirling that former Toledo head coach Tom Amstutz will be the next head coach at Findlay. Stay tune! |

I think Coach Amstutz would be a good pick. UF does have a connection with Toledo, so it would make sense. |

I think it would be a great hire. He is well known around the state and had proven success on a number of levels. |

Just heard that Doug Downing may also be in the running. Posting a link about him.

Another candidate is former Findlay HS coach Cliff Hite. |

Wow, I'd be very surprised if he gave up his job in the Ohio Legislature, but stranger things have happened. |

would be a little but in speaking with him he misses coaching. HE is however doing so well in politics. |

I think that Tom Amstutz, with his background in northwest Ohio, would be an excellent fit for not only the University of Findlay, but the GLAC as well. There are a number of former DI coaches in the league, with Lee Owens and Tim Rose at Ashland to name two. Also, I don't believe that recruiting will be too difficuly a task for Tom in that he probably has already established a solid rapport with many of the coaches in the state and surrounding area.

I would have to agree that he brings a lot to the table and we need someone who is enthusiastic like Coach Amstutz. We SHOULD find out this week, I heard there are a couple of more interviews tomorrow(weather permitting), but right now Tom Amstutz would be my choice, also. |

I heard that Dean Paul, Cliff Hite and Mike Ward all turned down the job. I wonder how this is effecting recruiting? |

None of those turn downs surprise me. Couple more good ones to be interviewed. Too soon to panic...yet. |
