Went to Muskingum and Otterbein on Saturday. Muskingum defense is good and is easy too see why they have started so well. Nice running game out of the spread but the passing game leaves much to be desired when they are behind. Heidelberg once again looked good. Defense intercepted 5 times and Germany Woods is one of the top running backs in d3. Oh it should be mentioned the Heidleberg also has a excellant placekicker , something many d3 schools lack.

Otterbein game was a close hard fought affair but too many penalties especially in the first half made for a very slow game sometimes. Otterbein has a fine offense with a good passing game but their inability too cover the pass lets them down. Last night a coach's unsportmenlike penalty certainly cost otterbein a touchdown at the end of the first half. Could have been the deciding factor in the game but hard too tell. Anyway he was flagged when he was standing clearly on the field of play arguing with a ref while a play was running. Ref didn't have much choice but too throw the flag. BW would have had to punt but instead scored right before halftime. Too bad for the Cards, they have been in so many close games and keep comming up just short. Oh one last thing apart from this game. The Otterbein marching band is really good, close too the Wooster marching band in fact. They put on a great show tonight. Also the halftime show was opened by the Hamilton Township marching band playing their Wizard Of Oz show. It was outstanding. If you ever have a chance to catch either of these two fine bands you should.
